I purchased this set for my daughter, along with another Piggy Paint set after several reviewers said the polish just doesn't last. I first buffed her finger and toenails, applied the base, 3 coats of the polish, let all that dry, then applied the top coat. I will say that it takes quite a while to dry. The polish on her fingers lasted about 3 days before it started chipping, and the polish on her toes took about a week and a half until it started chipping. Most of it is still on 3 weeks later. If you want non-toxic nail polish for your little girl, and you want it to last, definitely buy the Make it Last set.
