2 Bean Slow cooker Chili

This is a slow cooker chili that will make you a hit with everyone who eats it. Serves 12. You can add additional toppings such as sour cream, chips, yellow onions, etc.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 1/2 lbs extra lean ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
15 oz crushed tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
15 oz can black beans, drained
15 oz can pinto beans, drained
2 Tbs cumin powder
2 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs onion powder
1 Tbs pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cups water
Directions:
Prepare a large slow cooker ( at least 8 quarts).
In a medium skillet brown ground beef, drain and place in slow cooker.
In the same skillet brown turkey, drain and place in slow cooker.
In the same skillet brown the chopped onions and then place on top of meat in slow cooker.
Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, drained beans, all the spices and water. Stir gently to combine.
Cover and cool on high for 4 hours,
stirring every once in a while and adding water if necessary then cook on low for 4 more hours or until ready to serve.
Taste for seasoning adjustments as needed.
