Buttercream That's Oh-So Delicious Frosting

Add 1 C. (2 sticks) of softened butter in the mixer and beat for about 3 minutes until it's lightened in color and fluffy.

Sift 3-4 cups of powder sugar into a separate bowl. I usually use only about 3 1/2 cups.

Add 1/2 cup of p. sugar at a time into the creamed butter. 

TIP: for more fluffy frosting, after each powder sugar addition , beat the butter/sugar mixture  on highest speed for about ten seconds.

After all the sugar has been added and beaten  in, add 2 TBS. of pure vanilla extract.

And a pinch of salt.

You can use milk, half-half, or heavy cream. I personally love using heavy cream.  It's going to be about 2-3 TBS. This is the part of the frosting where you decide the consistency.
