Cinnamon Candy Recipe

Cinnamon Candy You will need: A candy thermometer 2 sticks of margarine 1 can evaporated milk (large) 3 cups sugar 2 T white Karo syrup Cook to soft ball stage, (235-240 degrees) 1/2 cup chopped pecans, (optional) Ground cinnamon Foil & wax paper
First lay out your foil sheet, then wax paper on that, sprinkle grnd cinnamon in a solid line across middle of papers.

Slowly cook all other ingredients, while stirring constantly, gradually increase heat until mixture reaches "soft ball" stage, (235-240 degrees) Add pecans, if desired. Remove from heat.
Set up mixture by cooling. My pot is 4" tall, so I fill my sink to approx 2" with cold water. Set pot in water & stir in big, fast motions.

Roll up, fold ends up, and refrigerate. Let chill for at least 1 hour.

Slice small pieces, (across) and serve coin like treats on tray with toothpicks. I wrap the whole thing in Xmas wrap & give to friends & neighbors as gifts.
