1. Make sure that you eat breakfast! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and if you skip it, it could throw your whole diet off and lead to unnecessary snacking.

2. Make sure you eat at periodic intervals. About every 3 to 4 hours. Also plan ahead of time what you're going to eat, this way you avoid overrating.

3. Make sure you add protein to each of your meals, this way you sustain energy throughout your day.

4. Limit how much caffeine you have. It can stimulate appetite.

5. If you're hungry but don't want to eat, chew some gum or drink water.
