An inspired combination of sour cream, smoky bacon and BP's Favourite Cactus Cut Potatoes with pizza mozzarella and cheddar, topped with green onion and a generous dollop of sour cream.
5 potatoes (peeled & sliced thin) 1 pizza crust (homemade or bought) 1 and 1/2 cups mozzarella Cheese 1 cup Cheddar cheese 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper 1/2 tsp Garlic powder 1/4 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper 1 tsp vegetable Oil 8 slices of bacon (cooked & cut into pieces) 5 tbsp sour cream
1) Roll out your pizza dough to fit pizza pan. Pre-bake for about 5 minutes per side according to the pizza dough recipe before assembling the pizza. After pizza dough is baked, preheat your oven for 400 degrees.
2) Place cut potatoes with cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt & pepper into a large skillet with 2 cups of water. Cover and cook on medium-high until potatoes are tender. 3) Remove lid and simmer until liquid is no longer present.
3) Add vegetable oil and toss potatoes so they don’t stick to skillet. Watch carefully, the potatoes can burn easily. Place cooked potatoes into a bowl and set aside. Spread the sour cream evenly onto the pizza crust. Top with spicy potatoes. Add cheddar and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.
4) Add bacon and cover with remaining mozzarella. Bake in oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Before cutting, allow the pizza to sit for about 5 to 10 minutes. Serve each slice of pizza with a dollop of sour cream and top with chopped green onions.
