posted in Skin & Body Tips on 6/3/2015
For oily skin: 1 egg white, teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, teaspoon salt, dash of cinnamon, and lemon or orange juice to make a thick paste. Stir and apply to a damp face for 10minutes. Rinse with warm water.
For dry skin: an egg yolk, an 1/8cup sugar, dash of cinnamon, table spoon of honey, and enough milk to create a paste. Apply to dry face and leave for 5minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Purifying mask: table spoon of lemon juice, half a mashed banana, tablespoon of honey, teaspoon of baking soda, and enough water to form a thin paste. Apply to damp face and rinse after 10-15 minutes.
Exfoliating body scrub: 1/2cup sugar, 1/2cup brown sugar, teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2cup milk, one egg, dash of salt, and water to create desired consistency. Apply all over body and scrub gently to remove dead skin. Rinse and pat dry.
Bonus hair masks! Dry hair mask: 1/8 cup olive oil, tablespoon of honey, 1cup of milk, and 2egg yolks stir and apply for 2minutes. Rinse and wash as normal. Oily hair mask: 2egg whites, 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar (white works just as well I prefer acv for the smell), and 1/8 cup of milk. Stir and apply for 3minutes. Rinse and wash as normal.
For a relaxing spa day, use these tips and some sliced cucumbers on the eyes for bonus points. Most can be stored in the fridge and make great gifts. Just check the date on eggs and milk to be sure!
