What you want to do first is just spin your egg on a flat surface. Is it wobbling a bit when it spins? That means it hasn't been cooked and it's still liquid, but if it spins fast and stable, it's been boiled

And then what you want to do is hold your egg to one of your ceiling lights and look at your egg. If there seems to be a dark area or spot in the egg that means it's rotten, so don't use that egg, but if it's one solid color it's okay.
