Food Science: Bright-white Cake Frosting

Both canned and homemade vanilla frostings have a slight golden color. If you need pure white for your special occasion, add a drop if blue liquid food coloring to the frosting and stir well. The blue will counteract the yellow tint. Repeat until the icing is bright white!
