Too thin means it will just flop down** :( Cut the ribbon to the width you want the bottom of the tree to be. When you are tying the ribbon on you only want to tie them once, double knots make the ribbon turn crazy ways. When you have all the ribbon tied on lay the tree down and straighten the ribbons (they don't have to be perfect) then cut the ribbons in the shape of the tree from bottom up one side at a time Hot glue the twine for hanging and ENJOY!
