I love making these during the holidays!
Recipe for brownies: • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar • 1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine, Softened • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla • 2 Eggs • 2/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour • 1/2 Cup Baking Cocoa • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt You could also used a pre-packaged brownie mix if you don't have all the ingredients around!
Recipe for Frosting: • 3 Cups Powdered Sugar • 1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine, Softened • 2 Tablespoons Green Crème De Menthe • 2 Tablespoons White Crème De Cacao Substitution: You can substitute 1/4 Cup Milk plus 1/2 Teaspoon Peppermint Extract for the liqueurs. For the Chocolate Layer on top: • 1 1/2 Ounces Unsweetened Baking Chocolate Note: I normally just use a bag of what ever chocolate chips we have around. (Other than milk chocolate.)

Directions: 1) Heat oven to 350° 2) Grease square pan, 8x8x2 inches 3) Beat Granulated Sugar, 1/2 Cup Butter, Vanilla, and Eggs in a medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or stir with a spoon, until smooth 4) Stir in Flour, Cocoa, Baking Powder, and Salt 5) Spread in pan 6) Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 7) Cool 15 minutes 8) Mix Powdered Sugar, 1/3 Cup Butter, Green Crème De Menthe, and White Crème De Cacao together 9) Spread over brownies 10) Refrigerate 15 minutes
Directions Continued: 12) Melt Chocolate over low heat 13) Spread evenly over powdered sugar mixture 14) Refrigerate at least 3 hours 15) For bars, cut into 5 rows by 5 rows. You could also cut the bars into triangles, or use deep cookie cutters for festive shapes!
