Hamburger Rotini And Cheese

Things you need
1 stick butter
1/3 cup flour
Cheeses of choice
Ground extra lean beef
Glass cooking pan
garlic
Rotini
35% Whipping cream or whole cream
Preheat oven to 450f
First cook up your ground beef how ever you like it. I like mine with salt pepper garlic and sometimes onions feel free to add other veggies like broccoli and peppers if you want cook to your taste
While your cooking the beef on a low heat start boiling water and cook up your rotini.
Once your rotini and beef are cooked begin grating your cheese ( grate quite a bit) so you can start your roux How to on next page.
Roux.
Melt stick of butter in pan, while whisking slowly add flour and whipping cream or whole cream to your melted butter. It will being to thicken quickly so add slowly. Once you have a sauce that's just starting to thicken add choice of cheese. Still whisking .Parmesan , mozzarella , and sharp cheddar are nice but don't be afraid to try jack and Colby .
Take off heat to let thicken.
There's a video on a different style of roux. This roux as I made it will be quite thick.
Once everything is made add to your glass pan, add rotini and beef mix together then add some grated cheese before adding your completed roux. Put in oven on broil for 15-25 minutes depending how much brown you want on top. Once all melted serve with fresh tomatoes on top and enjoy!
