Brush your hair with a wide tooth comb when it's wet, it helps protect your hair as brushing it will snap it because wet hair is more fragile.

Use a hair serum or a leave in conditioner instead of heat protect because the heat protect heats up and damages your hair where as a hair serum/leave in conditioner doesn't.
