Homemade Blueberry Sauce

This homemade blueberry sauce is great for topping ice cream, pancakes or waffles.
2¼ cups fresh blueberries
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon orange or lemon zest
1. Wash fresh blueberries. In a medium saucepan, crush blueberries. Add sugar, lemon juice and salt. Stir until combined.
2. Bring blueberry mixture to a boil.
3. Boil a full minute. Add zest.
4. Serve warm or chill to make the flavors really come out. Can be served warmed up or cold.
