Homemade Lavender Soap Recipe.

Shea Butter Soap base Lavender (essential oil) Dried lavender flowers (optional) Mold Microwave Funnel

When you pick up your shea butter soap base, you will notice that it is molded into 48 small rectangles that are attached. I cut off 6 small pieces and find that this will make 2 bars of the rectangle soaps. The first thing you want to do is break off the number of pieces from the base soap for the number of soaps you want to make. I broke off 12 pieces because I was making 4 bars of soap. (Soap molds come in different shapes and sizes and this is perfect for making the regular sized rectangular soaps.) Once you have your pieces, add them to a glass dish and place them in the microwave for

for 30 seconds. Stir, and repeat heating with 10 second intervals until all of your shea butter soap is melted. After your soap has melted, allow to cool slightly and then add in your Lavender essential oil. Once you have your scent added, add in your dried flowers and mix well. Take your funnel and then slowly pour the mixture into your molds. This is to keep out any air bubbles that could be created if scooping or pouring in directly. Allow to sit for 40 minutes to harden. To remove from the mold, carefully and gently pull the sides of the molding away from the soap to remove the suction,

and then carefully pop out!
