How To Make Homemade Peanut Butter

Ingredients.
-2 cups (16 ounces) raw, shelled peanuts
-1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more if needed
-1-2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1-2 table spoons honey or other sweetener

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Toast peanuts for about 10 minutes, until they are lightly golden and are glossy with oil.

Move the peanuts to a blender or food processor, Make sure you put them in while they are still warm.

Pulse them a few time until chopped. If you want chunky peanut butter remove 1/2 cut of the peanuts and set them to the side.

Keep running the processor or blender for another minute. Stop and scrap down the sides and bottom, the peanuts should look dry and gritty.

Repeat the last step for another minute and at this point it should be glossy and very thick.

Now sprinkle the salt, oil and sweetener and any other extracts over the top of the peanut butter

Continue to blend the butter until it becomes smooth, taste and season as needed with salt or any other seasonings, If you want chunky peanut butter then add the reserved 1/2 cup of peanuts.
