How To Make Lavender Coffee Syrup
What you need: -1/2 cup brown sugar -1/2 cup white sugar -1cup water -1 tbs dried lavender (or 3 tbs fresh lavender) -fine mesh strainer **Personally I prefer just 1 cup of white sugar verses the mixed and the original recipe recommended 1 cup brown sugar so experiment and see what you like!
Directions: Bring the water and sugar to a low simmer. Next add the lavender and let it simmer for 15 minutes. By the end, it should have a similar consultant to maple syrup. Let it cool and strain it. Then store in an air tight container. This product should have a shelf life of up to a month and yields about 1 cup.
