How To Make Your Lashes Look Like Falsies

Condition Your Lashes You can make a DIY lash serum from every day products that can be found around the house. This serum will not only condition your lashes, but will also help them grow longer and stronger. Apply this every night before bed with a cotton swab, or clean mascara wand and rinse off in the morning. The ingredients consist of: 1) Vaseline 2) Coconut Oil 3) Castor Oil 4) Aloe Vera 5) Vitamin E Oil
ALWAYS Remove Eye Makeup I really can not stress this step enough. I know how it can be at night when you're all cozy in bed, and the last thing you want to do is get up to remove your makeup. But leaving mascara on overnight can make your lashes harbor bacteria and cause them to be extremely susceptible to breakage. Let your lashes breath! Try keeping make up remover wipes next to your bed so there's no excuse! BONUS TIP! For an extra gentle home made make up remover, try mixing coconut oil with a little baby shampoo. Your lashes will be clean AND soft!
Skip The Waterproof Mascara Waterproof mascara can sometimes be extremely difficult to remove, and can result in losing precious lashes in the process. Let's face it.... if you cry with waterproof mascara on, its still going to run down your face and cause your lashes to clump together. Probably not as much as regular mascara, but in my opinion, it's not worth the damage it can cause.
Curl, Curl, Curl Now for the fun part! Grab your hair dryer and run your eye lash curler underneath for about thirty seconds. BEFORE putting it on your eyes, pleaseee test to make sure it's not too hot! This step will make the curl last much longer. When you're ready to curl your lashes, instead of squeezing the curler shut and holding it still for a few seconds, try pumping the curler open and closed. I usually do this about ten times, but you can do it as many times as you like. Continued.......
Continued.... After curling your lashes from the root, you can then place the curler half way between the roots and tips of your lashes and squeeze. While squeezing, pull upwards so the entire curler is horizontal. This will add a second curl and give you a super lifted look. Finally time for mascara !!!
Don't Be Fooled by Expensive Mascaras Almost every mascara is formulated the same exact way. The only difference is the wand. You can either buy individual wands from a drug store, or you can save the wand from your favorite mascara and reuse it. Then you'll be free to buy the cheapest mascara you can find! Just be sure to clean wands every so often or switch them out for a new one.
Application When applying mascara, always start at the roots and work your way up using a zig-zag motion. This ensures that every lash is coated thoroughly, and it also prevents clumping. Try to comb your outer lashes toward your temple, your middle lashes upward, and your inner lashes toward your nose to get a fuller, fanned effect. Immediately after applying your first coat, dip a cotton swab or clean mascara wand in powder. You can use baby powder or foundation powder to apply to your lashes, which should still be wet with mascara. Continued.....
Continued.... The powder will stick to each strand of hair, so when you apply your next coat of mascara it will grab onto the powder and make your lashes took much much thicker and fuller! You can repeat this step as many times as you want to achieve a more dramatic effect. BONUS TIP! If you're running low on mascara, add a few drops of contact solution or eye drops to the tube to make it last longer. You can also place the tube in a cup of hot water to melt the remaining product that has dried up.
Tight lining For those of you who don't know what tight lining is... It's when you fill in the gaps between your lashes with eyeliner. This is a quick and easy way to make your lashes look fuller by seamlessly blending your upper eyelid with your lashes. Continued....
Curl Again! Curl them once again the same way I mentioned earlier. This time you want to make sure your lashes are completely dry before curling them so that the curler doesn't cause the hair to clump together. If you find that you do have some clumps, you can always use tweezers to separate the strands of hair. Always try to get rid of clumps before your mascara dries. BONUS TIP! You can make home made setting spray to make your eye make up last all day by combining distilled water with 2 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin in a spray bottle.
Last But Not Least Vitamins! Biotin, niacin, vitamin c, collagen, and zinc have all been proven to promote hair growth. You can usually find each of these at a convenience store or a pharmacy for a relatively fair price. You could also buy Hair Skin and Nails vitamins which have all of the vitamins I mentioned above with a few more added to the mix, or prenatal vitamins which have very similar ingredients as well. All of these vitamins can be found in different foods, so if you would like the benefits they bring without taking a pill, you can always adjust your diet accordingly.
