How to turn cheap vodka into high quality.

The difference between that 7 dollar bottle of vodka and the expensive brands are the amount of times it has been filtered which reduces the harshness. I usually prefer a potato vodka bc it tends to be smoother. Just use coffee filters, place one over a bottle or pitcher and filter the vodka through it. The more you do it, the smoother it gets!

You can also make your own flavors by infusing them. To make vanilla, add vanilla bean and let it sit over night. Adding lemon rind will give you a nice mellow citrus vodka. Or you can be a bit more inventive and drop a few thai chilies for a spicy vodka. Remember, the longer you leave things in, the stronger the flavor!
