With school season just around the corner, here are a couple tips for you to ease yourself into your new year!

Cant sleep at night and wake up on time in the morning?
To fall asleep easier:
â˘don't eat at least 1-2 hrs before bed
â˘try the 4-7-8 breathing technique (breathe in for 4 sec, hold for 7 sec, exhale for 8 sec)
â˘drink green tea/peppermint tea/oolong tea, it can speed up your metabolism and calm nerves
â˘try listening to sleep hypnosis videos on youtube (i loveee these!)

How to make new friends?
Tips on making new friends:
â˘smile! you'll seem friendly and peope will want to talk to tou
â˘add people on social media, if you're going to a new school add people from there, or add some classmates you know
â˘learn how to small talk. Ask questions like "What courses did you take?" or "How was your summer?". Never ask yes or no questions as they're hard to expand upon.
â˘STAY AWAY FROM YOUR PHONE. People will not want to talk to someone who has their head glued to their screen. Look up and be sociable, as scary as it may seem.

Need help planning outfits?
When going back to school shopping for new clothes, follow these tips:
â˘buy lots for neutral clothing (black, grey, white, browns) since they're easier to mix in match in the morning if you're in a rush
â˘JEANS! Denim basically goes with anything, so a go to pair of skinny jeans can really save you
â˘get lots of cardigans, especially since it's nearing fall, you can wear cardigans over your summer tanks/shirts

Want to lose some summer fat off quick?
Lose weight tips:
â˘Drink tea on your way to school in a cute to-go mug
â˘Eat your protein to speed your metabolism (yogurt,eggs,turkey,chicken)
â˘go for a walk- go to the mall, walk to the park, just move!!
â˘WATER!
â˘exercise in the morning for maximum fat burning, then take a nice cold shower to really burn it off!!

I do this in the morning (takes 10 mins) and right before bed!

Another one to try!

Don't get caught up in having a boyfriend/girlfriend! STUDIES COME FIRST!! Get your grades together then do all of that, otherwise you WILL regret it.

Need to look cute but fast in the morning?
Try these tips:
â˘Try BB cream, it's like foundation but with the consistency of a moisturizer so you don't have to blend like crazy or prime.
â˘Do your hair at night, your curls will look natural in the morning.
â˘Skip liner-- or use gel, NEVER LIQUID. Liquid is too messy if you're in a rush, and trust me, liner can make you look even more tired if you don't do it right.
â˘Use a lipstick with gloss! Matte is pretty, but it can dry up your lips during the day.

Overnight oats are my favourite because I can just pull it out of the fridge in the morning and leave. Google a recipe that's right for you!

When you take your ID photo, keep your makeup minimal, the camera can make you look cakey! Remember to smile. Collect all your IDs so you can see how you've grown!
