Look Good With NO Makeup!
posted in All on 11/8/2015

Wash your face 2x daily.
Skincare is a key factor in looking good without makeup.
Although it may be tempting to wash your face more than twice a day, this is not advisable. Over-washing can make your skin dry and irritable, causing it to look worse rather than better.
Under washing will lead to clogged pores.

Always moisturize.
Every time you wash your face, you should follow it up with an application of facial moisturizer.
Pick a quality daily moisturizer with SPF in it to prevent wrinkles. At night, use a heavy moisturizer, like coconut oil.
I use Aveeno (thanks, Jennifer Anniston) daily.

EXFOLIATE!!!!
Exfoliate at least once a week.
There are many recipes you can use, but I always use these two when I finish showering:
ā¢1:1 water and oatmeal
ā¢1:2 water and baking soda
You can use either as a mask, too.
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, leaving your face looking fresh and radiant. And removes acne scars.

Use a toner right after you wash your face.
Toner restores your skin's natural pH balance, along with many other benefits depending on the type of toner. Look for toners that are alcohol-free.
I LIVE BY the Tea Tree Toner from Bath & Body works. It cleared up my skin and controls my oil. It prevents pimples!

Always remove makeup/ cleanse at night.
Makeup that is left on overnight can clog the pores and lead to pimples. So make sure you wash all the dirt and oil accumulated over the day, before you sleep.
I always use the Clean & Clear cleansers or my coconut oil to remove makeup. I also know the St. Ives cleansers are great too!

Use salicylic acid for pimples.
The salicylic acid I use from Clean & Clear is a special clear chemical that works great on pimples.
Check your cleanser, most of them already have salicylic acid in them.

Don't touch your face.
Your hands have natural oils that can irritate your skin. Don't keep touching your skin if you don't want pimples.

Be healthy! HYDRATE YOURSELF!
Drink lots of water and eat balanced meals. Less fat and oils in your diet, the better your skin will be!
Stay away from processed sugars, they make your face break out.

Control your dairy.
If you're a teen, the hormones in the milk can interfere with your pubertal ones.
Milk contains lots of fats and oils, when I switched to almond milk, my skin benefited drastically.
