Before applying that nude lip color, make sure your lips are well exfoliated. Nude lips aren't as forgiving, so they should go on a smooth surface.

PRIME/MOISTURIZE

Priming and moisturizing your lips will help your color's staying power.

CONCEAL

Many people don't realize how important this step actually is when applying lipstick — especially when it's nude lipstick. Concealing your lips will give you a blank canvas, allowing the lipstick color show up true to tone. Just apply and blend out around the edge of your lips.

LINE YOUR LIPS
