Southern Fried Cajun Shrimp
What you need: -Peeled shrimp (I buy frozen already peeled) -3 eggs -1 cup milk -Aprox 3 cups flour -Cajun seasoning* (I use Tony's) -oil to fry shrimp in * you can either buy your seasoning, or use this recipe for a homemade flavor: Garlic powder Salt Pepper Small pinch of: Cayenne pepper Onion powder Use however much you want of each to get your desired taste.
Rinse off your shrimp then lay them on a towel and pat them dry. This will help the batter stay on easier. Whisk together milk and eggs in a large bowl. Add your shrimp and set aside. Mix your seasoning with your flour in a large bowl. You want it to smell spicy, but not too much. It'll change the color of the four. Take your shrimp and drain some of the egg mixture in your hands then place them in the flour mixture. Mix until all shrimp is covered. When your oil is hot enough, fry your shrimp until it's almost a golden brown Set on a plate covered in paper towels to cool.
