Starbucks Homemade Passion Tea Lemonade! <3
posted in Recipes on 1/27/2014

Ingredients: lemon juice, tazo passion tea, white sugar, ice, water

You can buy this tea at your local super market.

Put all 20 tea bags in a gallon pitcher. Boil 1 gallon of water in a pot.

Once the water is boiled, pour it over your tea bags and let it steep for 7-10 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavour.

Once it's finished steeping, use a spoon to scoop out one bag at a time.

Take another spoon and squeeze out more flavour from each bag and toss.

Once you have all your bags removed, place the pitcher in the fridge for it to cool over night. So that the heat won't melt the ice and water it down.

I used a Starbucks cup, which they sell in their stores, and filled the cup up to the second line ( about 9 oz).

Then add your lemonade until you reach the third line ( about 3 oz).

Starbucks usually pump their "classic syrup" in the drink. It's a clear syrup so I'm guess its a basic "simple syrup". To make a simple syrup, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil and let it cook until the sugar dissolves. Let the substance cool in the fridge and now you have your syrup

This it's necessary, but they do this in the store and it makes you feel fancy. If you don't have a shaker, you could use anything with a lid. You just want to be able to shake it up and make it a little foamy.

Add ice to make your drink extra cool and refreshing.

Pour your tea mixture and your desired sweetness of syrup over your ice.

Put the lid on and shake like CRAZY!!

Delicious foam

Pour in your cup

And now enjoy!
