Strawberry Lemonade Ice Cream Float

1 pint strawberries (about 12) 1 tablespoon granulated or powdered sugar 3 cups of vanilla bean ice cream 1 1/2 cups light lemonade Lemon or strawberry slices for garnish (optional)

1. Slice 7 or 8 of the strawberries and and place in a small pan over low heat. 2. Sprinkle strawberries with sugar and stir intermittently until mixture comes to a boil. 3. Remove from heat and transfer to a small glass bowl. Set aside to cool. 4. Place 2-3 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream into a tall glass (Ball jars work great).

5. Pour half of the cooled strawberry syrup over the ice cream. 6. Slice the remaining strawberries. 7. Top ice cream with strawberry slices. 8. Fill the glass with lemonade.
