Making a Study Planner
Making a study planner is essential to studying. You can limit your time to subjects and spend more time on others. You can decorate it or colour code it and then afterwards, you could write a goal for next time!
You can make one with your friends and decorate it together - it can be fun!

Colour Coding
Colour coding is a great way to remember important facts and information that you'll need:
You can colour code your work so that certain colours match up to certain important topics. For example, Blue could mean dates, or Red could be a quote that you could use. You could make your work pretty and use a wide range of colours!

Keep your desk organised

Make sure everything is laid out properly

Keep things colourful and pretty

And make sure everything has a place
Keeping your desk organised means you don't have to worry about finding everything and you'll know where everything you need is. Before you study, you could take everything that you'll need and put it next to you so that when you're studying, you don't have to rummage through endless shades of blue to find the perfect one, it'll be just at arms reach. Also, your mind won't get distracted so you will be able to concentrate on your studying more that organising or staring at your surroundings

Get a good night sleep!
Sleep is essential. It helps you concentrate, it keeps you motivated (let's be honest, who's motivated to do anything when they're tired?!) and it makes you less moody - essential if you want a good day and a focused or relaxed day. So get to bed at a reasonable time so that you get enough sleep so you can wake up with energy, at a reasonable time, feeling reenergised and ready to start the day!

DRINK!
Drinking helps me concentrate, clears my sore head and de stresses me. I love taking a break to drink a few cups of chilled water, letting my mind relax. Once my mind has been relaxed and I'm no longer as stressed (I'm never not stressed when studying or doing any form of homework) as I was before, then I get back to studying! Drinking is important to keep hydrated, so water, tea, coffee, or any other kind of similar drink should help keep you focused!

Take frequent short breaks

It's okay, and helps you remember the information you studied before
Taking frequent rest breaks (about every 20-30 mins or so) helps you remember the information you just learnt. This actually helps you learn more than studying for long periods of time.

No distractions
I know it will be hard, but trust me, it's worth it. Take away any distractions possible. Give your phone, iPod, laptop, anything that will let you get distracted, to someone you trust until you're finished studying. Or if you aren't sure on something, look it up, but CONTROL YOURSELF don't go over to Instagram, or Twitter, or Facebook or anything like that, because a quick check will turn into hours of lost studying time. You don't need to update your friends on Facebook just to tell them you're studying!

Have a study space

Keep it organised
Finally, having a study space is a great idea. You can have a white board with facts you need to learn, or any homework that needs done, or test that are coming up. Make sure you don't study in bed as we naturally associate bed with sleep, so it will make us sleepy. If you're sitting upright on a chair, at a desk of some sorts, then you'll feel more like studying and less like sleeping. Also, you could decorate them with pictures of friends so that if you ever get upset or stressed, you can look up and see a cute picture of you and your friends or family and it will help you to relax!
If a study space or area isn't your thing or you don't have the space for it, you could go to a cafe, and bring your laptop. You will be able to order drinks and food whenever you want without the hassle of making it - time saved there - and you can connect to the free wifi (hopefully!) and get on with your work on a laptop.
Hope this helps, and good luck if you have any exams coming up or homework due it. Remember to get a good night sleep before your exam, and don't stay up late cramming all of the information you can into your brain - hopefully, it will all be in there and you'll be ready to go!
