Ingredients

1/2 cup (125 ml) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup (50 ml) sugar
1 egg
1 tsp (5 ml) pure vanilla extract
1 cup (250 ml) of flour all purpose
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
1 cup (250 ml) CHIPITS Semi-sweet chocolate

1. Preheat the oven to 350F (180 c)
2. Beat the butter cream with the sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until a light texture.
3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
4. Add to the cream mixture and mix well.

6. Drop dough by spoonfuls on a non-greased baking sheet.
7. Bake in the centre of the oven for 9 to 12 minutes, or until biscuits are golden.
8. Let cool 10 minutes before transfer to a rack to cool completely.

* For cookies without egg, omit the egg and work the dough with your hands until it is held. Shape small mounds, place on baking sheet and bake according to the instructions above.
