Troubles Sleeping?

8 tips on getting some sleep.

1. Melatonin is a natural non-addicting supplement that helps with sleep (can be found in any grocery store, wal-mart etc.)

2. Benadryl (diphenhydramine 25mg) is a non-addictive antihistamine that can be used as a sleep aid. Brands such as 'Zzzquil' use diphenhydramine 25 mg, but Benadryl is cheaper! (OTC in any pharmacy)
3. Try and avoid drinking liquids at least one hour prior to sleep - this will help not wake you up in the night to go pee.
4. If you must drink prior to going to sleep, try drinking warmed milk, chamomile tea, or green tea. (Tea might wake you up to pee though!)
5. Eliminate as much light as possible. Lots of people just use blinds for their windows but use a dark curtain over top as well. Also, make sure all of the little glowing lights from electronics and other things are off or covered.
6. If you are laying in bed unable to sleep because thoughts are wildly stirring. Lay on your back (or a comfortable position). Get very comfy. Focus on your breathing, just the in and out of air from your lungs, don't let your mind wander, just think about breathing.
7. If you are still laying in bed unable to sleep, try stretching each part of your body, one at a time. Start with your toes; stretch them and wiggle them. Then move on to your ankles, rotate and flex, then move to your calf etc.

8. Lastly if all else fails. There is a prescription sleeping pill called Zopiclone 7.5mg. You need a prescription from a doctor. This works quite well for most people, but of course to some it may be habit-forming.
