Very Simple Poison Ivy Costume

Poison ivy is my number one femme fatale. Over the years I have made multiple costumes with a twist of my own taste. One year I didn't think I was able to attend Halloween parties but lucked out last minute and threw together a simple poison ivy costume! Here is how I did it, if you're interested in putting together a little sexy, quick villainess costume for Halloween (or any costume party for that matter!)

You will need... For the costume: - bodysuit - ivy garlands (found at any craft store) - scissors - red hairspray (Sally beauty supply etc) - needle and thread For the hair band: - leaves - needle and thread - clear glue - gold glitter - bobby pins

To make the outfit: 1. Remove ivy leaves from garland using scissors and put into a pile. 2. Sew the leaves onto the bodysuit until covered entirely, then sew on a second layer. 3. Spray with red hairspray for a more poison effect and/or dab with glue and sprinkle gold and silver glitter on.

To make the hair band... 1. Sew leaves together to form a 10 inch trail. 2. Dab with glue and add glitter. 3. Secure in hair by wrapping around head and securing the ends with bobby pins.
