Visualisation Before Sleep Improves Health And Prevents Colds And Stress
Firstly, lay on your back with your feet slightly apart and let yourself sink into the bed.
Next focus your breathing down to your diaphragm (try and breathe so your stomach rises and falls) and avoid taking a lot of air into your lungs.
Then, slowly tense and relax your muscles (remembering to always sink into the bed) from your toes to your head in this order: toes, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, bum, lower back, upper back, fingers, wrists, elbows, biceps, shoulders, neck and finally scrunch up your face.
Finally put on a visualisation meditation video from youtube, making sure to carry on breathing through your diaphragm. I have found the video I have linked in the next slide to be particularly helpful and it's one of my favourite relaxation videos.
