Ways to Get You Through Your Period (Sorry, boys! There's something for you at the end!)

Take Pain Killers
Take Pain Killers
This is the part I ALWAYS forget. It helps, Advil, Mitol, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, any pain killer helps. On my first day, my legs cramp up so bad and I can barely walk. Pain killers (when I remember to take them) helps 100%. DONT FORGET!!
Use Heat
Use Heat
I always heat, especially for really bad cramps. But not only does this help pain, it's really relaxing. The warmth just swarms over you and it's great.
Keep Your Mood Positive
Keep Your Mood Positive
I know how difficult it is to keep your cool when you're on your period. I'm a sophomore and I started yelling at a freshman twice my size just for saying "seriously?" to something I was doing. It's scientifically proven that if you pretend you're in a happy mood, then you eventually will develop a happier mood. So BE HAPPY!
Have a Buffet of Fruits and Veggies

Ladies, DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! Do not go to your local Chinese restaurant and order a bunch of food and eat it all, then go eat ice cream. That was a really bad decision on my part and I regret every bite of the deliciousness. Instead, have an endless amount of healthy foods such as fruits and veggies. (maybe it's okay to have a few chocolate chips 😜)
Get PLENTY of Rest
Get PLENTY of Rest
Sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep!!! Sleep as long as you can. Take a nap and then go to bed early! Sleep is very important to me so you do NOT have to ask me twice.
Don't Wear Super Tight Clothes. Wear something comfortable.
Don't Wear Super Tight Clothes. Wear something comfortable.
Don't wear super super tight jeans. I know we like them but that squeezes your belly and causes cramps and you don't want that half way through your day. Wear comfortable clothing. For me, it's sweatpants and a T-shirt or regular jeans and a hoodie. Yoga pants and leggings are a must for home (bc of our school dress code, we can't wear yoga pants or leggings 😑)
If boys took the time to read this or saw what I said in the title, here's a tip for when your girl is on her period: Be nice. You don't have to bring her flowers and chocolate and every freaking Disney movie ever. If your girl is into cliche like me, go for it. If you're on a tight budget, that's a-okay. Just be nice. Girls get super moody and can turn in a snap. Dont EVER take it personally, whether she's on her period or not. Just to make everyone's lives easier, be nice.
I hope your take these into context and hopefully they helped to make your period feel as normal as possible! Much love! ❤️
