At the first sign of that tingle or lump, wrap some ice cubes in a kitchen towell and hold against the area for as long as you can, as often as you can. This helps stop the swelling and the warmth needed for that cold sore to thrive!

Dab some anti-bacterial gel on the area (Purell is the best) after food and drink, and after using ice cubes. This will keep the area clean and dry. This tip cut my last cold sore down from over a week to just a few days, and it was barely noticeable! Hope you have as much luck =)
