Cool Birthday Cake Idea

Cute and simple cake, not just for 5 year olds though!

Start by mixing cake mix, and separating it into several bowls and mix in food coloring, you can use whatever colors you want, using a different color palate would be just as easy!

Put cake batter into baggies and snip the tips off of them, start filling your pan with the batter and swirling the colors as shown

Completely fill the bottom of the pan until all of your batter is gone

Take out your cake and slice it into pieces as shown

Cut out whatever you want to be shown in the middle of the cake, a number or even a letter or shape would work

Fill the pan with plain batter, DO NOT POUR ALL OF IT IN AT ONCE!

Line up your cut out pieces back to back and pour batter around them for support

Finish filling the pan with batter

Bake!

Cut off the round part of your cake, this part is just to make it easier to frost and cover in fondant

Dirty ice with frosting

To make the tie dye effect take take fondant and twist the different colors then roll out

Cover your cake and trim off the excess

And presto! You're done! Cut and enjoy your cake!
