DIY HOT OIL TREATMENT
posted in Hair on 7/19/2015

Step 1
Fill a microwave-safe bowl with between 3 to 6 tablespoons of a pure oil, such as sweet almond, jojoba, coconut, avocado or olive.
The longer your hair is, the more oil you will need. If desired, you can also mix equal amounts of each oil so you get the benefits of all of them.
Step 2
Add 2-5 drops of essential oil like chamomile. If you have dark hair, rosemary oil is lovely and sandalwood has a strong fragrance
that some absolutely love.
Tea tree oil is wonderful for women with dandruff or itchy scalps.
Carrot seed oil is amazingly moisturizing.
Also suggested scents are rosemary, lavender, rose or mint essential oils.
Separate hair into 4 sections -- 2 up and 2 down -- and apply the hot oil using a pastry brush to the bottom sections first.
Once hair is covered, massage the hot oil into the scalp.
Using Saran wrap, wrap your hair in plastic. Follow this with a hot towel. Leave the oil treatment in for at least 30 minutes.
Shampoo hair at least twice to get the oil out (it could be crunchy if you don't). You can also mix in baking soda with your shampoo to get the oil out.
