DIY Hot Sugar Wax- With Real Pictures :)

My arm before waxing
Yeah I know, hairy right?
Sugar wax recipe:
1 part water
1 part lemon juice
4 parts sugar (granulated)
I recommend starting with:
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup sugar
Now just dump all those ingredients into a pot, start stirring, and turn the stove on high.
I have step by step instructions with pictures coming up.

Here are all of my ingredients mixed before applying heat.

The mix should be getting darker in color and frothing up a bit, this is okay, just try to keep it from spilling over. If it's frothing up too much then turn it down a tad

After continually stirring the mixture while it's being heated You should eventually get this beautiful honey color. Now take off the heat and pour the wax into a jar, glass, or bowl type thing. Just whatever container you'll be taking it out of.

This is what my wax looks like in my smaller container, which is just a mug.
Now we need to let it cool down because if you put it on your skin it'll definitely burn.
I usually take a little bit onto a knife and let it cool for a minute and then spread it on the desired area going against the way the hair naturally grows. Then I let that harden and just pull it off with my fingers, pulling in the direction that the hair does naturally grow.

Here is the wax on my hairy arm

Look at well that works!
I really love sugar waxing, a lot of people will say it doesn't hurt, but honestly it does.
When you shave you just cut the hairs where they come out of the skin, but when you wax you a ripping the hair from the root, so yes it hurts, but that's to be expected. And, it grows back a lot slower!
Also, when doing this I know a lot of people will use cotton strips to pull the wax off, but I just let it harden and use my fingers.

So here is my arm to start

And here is my arm after the waxing :)
I really hope that this was helpful.
When you go to clean the pots and jars you used for this and it doesn't come off, don't freak out. Because the base of the wax is made of sugar, and sugar is water soluble, just let the pot or jar soak in water for an hour or two and it'll just wipe right off :)
You guys should like/ save this if it was helpful, because I use that as feedback for what you guys wanna see! I hope you all have a wonderful day :)
And I'm going to include the instructions again on the next page in a format that's easy to screen shot.
1 part (1/4 cup) lemon juice
1 part (1/4 cup) water
4 parts (1 cup) granulated sugar
Constantly mix all of those together on high heat until it turns a beautiful honey color
Pour into jar and let cool (but not too much because you don't want it to solidify)
Use a butter knife to spread wax against the natural direction of hair growth
Let the wax harden and pull off pulling in the direction that the hair does grow
Enjoy your smooth hairless body parts :)
