Easy Sage Sausage Thanksgiving Recipe!

For most, a Thanksgiving dinner is all about the turkey but for me it’s all about the stuffing!  It’s so delicious! Sage sausage stuffing is the kind I grew up eating so it’s my favorite. Plus it really is very simple to make.

Ingredients: * 1 – 16oz box of stuffing mix * 1 cup chicken broth * 3 celery ribs chopped * 1/2 cup butter * 1 small onion diced * 1 pound breakfast sausage (such as Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage) * 2 tsp poultry seasoning * 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) * 1 chopped green apple (optional)
Directions:
Saute onion and celery with butter until soft, and set aside. Brown sausage and drain. Combine stuffing mix, poultry seasoning, sausage, apples, walnuts and the onion and celery mixture into a greased casserole dish. Pour chicken broth over mixture and gently stir.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees covered and another 15 minutes uncovered. Add more broth if it gets too dry.
