Losing weight: DONT STARVE YOURSELF!
The wrong way to diet: Ive seen so many people here suggesting diets that pretty much require you to eat basically nothing and drink lots if water. Dont do this! Sadly, I've been there. And with all the young girls who use this app, its scary to think they may take that path as well. Dieting isn't starving. Its making better choices. Instead of a big Mac, have grilled chicken, tuna, or a salad. And dont deprive yourself of snacks just eat fruits instead of candy bars.
Depriving your body of nutrients is the wrong way to go. Hair starts falling out. Skin looks bad. And your bodies metabolism will slow down storing fat. Losing the weight can become overwhelming and obsessive to the point that you cant stop trying and anorexia takes over your life. I started out depriving myself of food slowly but didnt see results as fast as i wanted to. I ended up eating almost nothing every day and exercising like crazy until i lost 40 pounds. People told me i looked sick. My hair thinned out. I was so fatigued i could barely get out of bed. I didnt enjoy life anymore.
Luckily, an old friend contacted me and helped me through it. But not every one is that lucky. Now i follow an easy M-F exercising plan and make healthier choices when it comes to food. Visit some health sites and see just how many calories you sgould be consuming on a daily basis in order to lose weight at a healthy rate. And sont forget to exercise in order to tone up. Theres plenty of beginner plans out there and tons of meals you can make.
This is just my own experience as im not a fitness professional. But if this helps just one person make the right decision, then ive done my job. If you suspect someone you know has this problem, dont tell them whats what, they wont listen. Just try to steer them in the right direction gently and be understanding. I realize thus Mau seem like common sense to most, but plenty of people fall victim when desperate to lose weight. Thanks for reading!
