Uses For Baking Soda

Baking soda has a ton of uses most people don't know about!
No More Expensive Cleaning Products!
Grab a sponge, baking soda, and warm water.
Soak the sponge in water and sprinkle baking soda over the surface you're cleaning. Inexpensive and just as effective at cleaning countertops, sinks, tough to scrub dishes, tile floors, and much more.
Wash your hair!
Wet your hair as you regularly would to wash your hair. Instead of using shampoo, work baking soda into your hair. It won't lather like shampoo does but it will clean it just as effectively without drying out your hair.
Baking soda doesn't have certain chemicals that shampoo does, which would strip your hair of the "good" oils.
Laundry Detergent!
Add a cup of baking soda to your regular amount of fabric softener. It will get your clothes cleaner and smelling great! It also whitens whites and brightens colors.
Fix a clogged drain!
Fill your clogged sink with 3 cups vinegar. Then, add a 1/2 cup baking soda and watch as it reacts and unclogs your drain. Wash away the left over residue with hot water.
Deodorize you garbage disposal!
Put lemon wedges inside your sink drain and pour enough baking soda to cover all the lemons. Turn your garbage disposal on to mix the lemon and baking soda, then wash away!
Whiten your teeth!
Once a week use baking soda instead of toothpaste. It will brighten and whiten your teeth tremendously! I use this tip myself and I've been smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee daily for years.
Deodorant!
Pat dry baking soda on to your under arms for a less harsh deodorant. It neutralizes armpit stink and doesn't leave white marks on clothing.
Get rid of bug bite itch!
Make a baking soda paste and apply onto the effected area. After showers, rub some baking soda into your hands and rub onto damp skin.
Instead of hand soap!
Avoid harsh soaps by rubbing baking soda on your hands. Great for getting off tough dirt and stains from good coloring!
Sooth your feet!
Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda into a bath of hot water and soak your feet. Rub into your skin. Makes a great spa soak and also exfoliates!
Antacid!
Upset stomach? Mix a tablespoon of baking soda into a cup of water. The baking soda neutralizes stomach acid and works better than Tums!
Keep flowers fresh!
Add a teaspoon of baking soda to your flower vase to keep flowers last longer!
Protect your garden!
Sprinkle over flower beds to keep rabbits and other animals from eating away at your garden!
The best thing about baking soda is that it's very inexpensive and available at any supermarket or drug store.
