Filling Vegan Smoothie
posted in Recipes on 4/24/2014

Want a smoothie that will satisfy you all morning, but don't want excess calories and want it vegan/vegetarian friendly? Well lucky you that you found this tip. :)

You can use original unsweetened oatmeal (rolled oats too) as the base to make the smoothie thick and creamy.
1/2 Cup of oatmeal/rolled oats in the blender
Enough hot water to cover the oats. You can make the oatmeal the night before too if you don't want a warm smoothie. :)

Now the fun part, pick any fruit you want. My personal favorite smoothie consists of mangos, banana, peach, and strawberries blended together. :) Don't be shy about the fruit, add as much as you want to the blender.

I usually don't add any sweeteners for my smoothies, but you are more than welcome to add raw organic* honey or organic* blue agave honey (vegan friendly). If I do add a sweetener, I do not more than a TBS, but sweeten to your taste.
Organic* is optional, you do not need to use it.

Now turn on the blender and blend until it's smooth. No dairy and no animal product unless you added bee honey.

Now sip and enjoy! :)
