The average person requires 8 glasses of water a day. It aids with maintaining and losing weight, flushes toxins from your body, and helps your metabolism. Often times people think they are hungry when in fact they're just dehydrated. Here are some tips to help make sure you are getting the proper amount of water.
1. Sleep with a water bottle beside your bed. When you wake up drink some water before you even stand up. This will help get your metabolism going.
2. Drinking warm water will fill you up whereas drinking cold water will speed up your metabolism. Drink a glass of cold water before every meal to aid with digestion, and before workouts to help burn fat. Drink a glass of warm water before bed to fill you up.
3. Adding things to your water such as lemon, strawberries, oranges, mint leaves and cucumber provide added health benefits and better taste.
4. Always carry a water bottle with you so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.
5. Drinking tea is also a good way to flush toxins and stay hydrated as many teas have added health benefits.
